Refit the wheel in the slots
Release the wheel. If it has nuts, use your wrench tool. Usually they have quick releases. Open the lever and unscrew with your hands on the other side to open it.
Don't remove the wheel from the slots. To be sure the wheel is stable in the slots, move it slightly left and right and press down firmly the wheel. The axle must be in the same position in both slots.
Now tight back the wheel. When using a quick release, screw the nut using your hand and close the lever. You need to feel tension on the lever when you close it. If you feel it too soft when you close it, open it again, screw on the other side a little bit more and close the lever again. If it is too stiff, unscrew the nut and close the lever again. If the wheel has nuts, use the wrench tool.
To make it easier, turn upside down your bike. If you have a bell ot a cyclocomputer, remember to remove it before, to avoid scratching it!
